Do you think television is important to us?Why? I am sure your answer to this question will be yes. There are two things I could say about television. First, it is helpful. Second, it is destructive.
Let us start with television is helpful. We use TV for information, entertainment and for pleasure. We can gather a lot of information around the world through watching news on TV. It entertains us and it gives us pleasure too.
Television is destructive also. We all know now a days that children and teenagers are watching shows that are for adult only. These young adults are addicted on television that they forgot the importance of school. Like for example, instead of doing their school works, they watch TV first and forgetting their assignments. That's not good. Another also, children are watching violent shows on TV that affects their daily lives.
Actually, television is good but it is bad also in another way depending on the kind of shows these young children are watching.

MASSAGE THERAPHY

Do you believe in massage therapy? I am going to say i really believe because when i was in the Philippines i always have my back massage. If i have fever or i always cough due to cold or something i feel good after the massage. Some people doesn't like massage just like hubby. But i always tell hubby that i will massage his back when he is very tired. I did massage him and he said he feel good. Before i also came here in US i let the massager or we call there "manghihilot" meaning massager massage my tummy to check if my ovary is in right position because of course i want to have a baby. She told me that my ovary is not in the right position if i got pregnant it is easy to be miscarriage. I want to have a baby so i told her to fix it. She did fix it and it hurt a little bit but the result i have a baby. Lots of my friends knows about this believe me but some is just smiling. Did you believe such thing like this?

SOLAR ECLIPSE

SOLAR ECLIPSE
Friday, August 1 is a red-letter day for eclipse enthusiasts. On that date, the sun will be partially eclipsed over an immense area that includes western and central Asia, parts of northern and central Europe, all of Greenland and even a small slice of northeastern North America.
A total solar eclipse — the first in nearly two and a half years — will be visible along a narrow track that will start over the Northwest Passage of Canada, gives a glancing blow to northern Greenland, then shifts southeast through Siberia and western Mongolia and before ending near the famed Silk Route of China.
The path of totality for this upcoming eclipse is never more than 157 miles (252 km) wide.
Where it's visible
The total eclipse begins at sunrise over Northern Canada's Queen Maud Gulf, where the moon's umbra will first touch down on the Earth, resulting in Canada's hosting its first total solar eclipse since February 26, 1979.
As the sun comes into view over the north-northeast horizon its disk will become completely blocked by the moon. This is in the area of the famous Northwest Passage, a sea route connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans through the Arctic archipelago of Canada. The various islands of the archipelago are separated from one another and the Canadian mainland by a series of Arctic waterways collectively known as the Northwestern Passages. Politically, this region belongs to Nunavut, the largest and newest of the territories of Canada; it was separated officially from the vast Northwest Territories on April 1, 1999.
Although the umbral shadow narrowly misses the towns of Cambridge Bay on Victoria Island, and Resolute on Cornwallis Island, its northern edge just clips the northernmost permanently inhabited place in the world: Canada's remote outpost of Alert, which lies just 508 miles (817 km) from the North Pole and has a population of just 5. Here, totality will last 43 seconds.
Crossing the open Arctic, the southern half of the totality path slides across the many fjords of northermost Greenland, coming to within 450 miles (720 km) of the North Pole at 9:38 UT over the Arctic Ocean before turning southeast. Totality sweeps over the Norwegian island group of Svalbard, while the northern edge of the umbra's path just grazes Russia's Franz Josef Land island group, then cuts across the crescent-shaped island of Novaya Zemlya on its way to central Asia. The umbra first touches the Russian coast on the Yamal Peninsula. Not far inland, greatest eclipse, producing 2 minutes 27 seconds of totality, is attained near the town of Nadym (pop. ~46,000), just inland from the boot-shaped Gulf of Obskaja.
Spending part of your summer in Siberia may sound a bit more appealing upon hearing that the central path passes almost directly over the city of Novosibirsk, Russia's third most populous city (pop. ~1.4 million) where totality begins at 10:44 UT and will last 2 minutes 18 seconds. The center of the path will then follow the Mongolia-China border for several hundred kilometers, with Olgij, Mongolia getting 1 min 36s of totality. Totality finally whisks into north-central China, crossing the west end of the Great Wall before leaving the Earth at a point northeast of the major city of Xi'an (pop. 3.9 million).
The northern half of Maine as well as the Canadian Maritime Provinces will experience a partial eclipse at sunrise.
Eclipse expedition
A most unusual attempt to rendezvous with the moon's shadow will be made by an Airbus A330-200 twin-engine long-range aircraft. Following a flight plan optimized specifically for the purpose of viewing this eclipse, all of the many unusual requirements of this flight have been evaluated and satisfied with arrangements by the air charter company Deutsche Polarflug (AirEvents) which has previously operated successful over-flights of the North Pole with this same aircraft.
Glenn Schneider, from the University of Arizona's Steward Observatory and a veteran of 26 total eclipses, has worked out the detailed formulation of the flight plan. He is targeting a point from the high polar north, at approximately +83-degrees latitude and about 440 nautical miles from the North Pole at an altitude of 37,000 feet above the Arctic Ocean.
This will be a unique event in the annals of solar eclipse-chasing since there are no records of any total solar eclipse observations as far north as this. While total solar eclipses in the polar regions are not rare, accessibility is very difficult. Until this juncture in time (and technology) very high-latitude (north or south) total solar eclipses have been elusive. The total solar eclipse of 23 November 2003 was the first in history to have been observed from the Antarctic.
Once again it needs repeating: to look at the sun without proper eye protection is dangerous. Even if you are in the path of the total eclipse you will need to protect your eyes during the partial phases.

Nowadays more and more couples are showing up at fertility clinics around the world, searching for answers, hope and eventual parenthood. Despite the enormous growth in population it should be noted that humans are not very efficient at producing babies. However being born a human is blessing and reproduce is double blessing. In this society to a woman unable to bear a child is an unbearable suffering and suffering knows no barrier, no caste,no creed, no religion or region. In orthodox mindset barren is considered a curse and looked down with hate. Without children loss of fertility, is the loss of woman's hope for future. Infertility/ childlessness cause great personal suffering & distress. Most of this agony & misery is hidden from the public gaze. That is the reason this topic is not discussed about openly. The dismal ignorance & neglect about the causes of childlessness and its treatment are main reason for the lack of public support for childless couple. In many parts of the world childless couples are socially isolated and thus emotionally very vulnerable. In some societies the pressure to conceive is directed towards the woman, and it is often she who has to bear the brunt of its impact. Childlessness is a medical problem that involves both the couples and both of them remain involved even if only one-person need medical treatment.
To have your own family is a universal dream. This dream can become a night more for the infertile couple and learning that you have an infertility problem can engender painful & difficult emotions. Childlessness often means living in a space of suspended animation waiting seemingly forever through test & treatments for a baby. Childlessness is like a chronic illness that uses up a large amount of a couple's resources emotional and financial and involves the expenditure of a considerable amount of time, money and physical & emotional energy.
Childlessness may bring out feelings of resentment, of guilt, and of despair. Almost all the couples expect to have their own babies, once they get married. But getting pregnant is like a game of odds, or game of luck. It is impossible to predict when an individual couple will succeed in achieving pregnancy.
In the onset of new millennium people, to began believed that modern medicine is losing its relevance in many fields including in the treatment of infertility. We have the very strong conviction that 'Unani Herbalism' is the only hope for the childless couple. It has been proved beyond doubt, in numerous cases around the globe. We have witnessed 100% success results by treating childless couple through the age-old time tested unani medicine, our Chief Hakeem Hashmi has evolved effective & potent herbo-mineral formulations to treat childlessness after an elaborate & hard research. This treatment is prescribed according to the individual requirement after a careful analysation of every condition and natures of each patient. We have been treating childless couple for the lost 70 years with 100% positive results.
Even though you may be embraced and feel that you are the only ones in the world facing the problem, you should not forget that you are not alone. Many couples experience infertility and many can be helped. We believe our treatment, can bring you back to the happy world and the joyful moments will last for ever

THE FACT OF GARLIC

Dont you know that garlic has a lot of use? This is what i found in Mr. Wiki...
Garlic has been used as both food and medicine in many cultures for thousands of years, dating at least as far back as the time that the Egyptian pyramids were built. Garlic is claimed to help prevent heart disease including atherosclerosis, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and cancer. Animal studies, and some early investigational studies in humans, have suggested possible cardiovascular benefits of garlic. A Czech study found garlic supplementation reduced accumulation of cholesterol on vascular walls of animals.
Another study had similar results, with garlic supplementation significantly reducing aortic plaque deposits of cholesterol-fed rabbits.
Another study showed that supplementation with garlic extract inhibited vascular calcification in human patients with high blood cholesterol.
The known vasodilative effect of garlic is possibly caused by catabolism of garlic-derived polysulfides to hydrogen sulfide in red blood cells, a reaction that is dependent on reduced thiols in or on the RBC membrane. Hydrogen sulfide is an endogenous cardioprotective vascular cell signaling molecule.
However, a randomized clinical trial funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States of America and published in Archives of Internal Medicine in 2007 found that the consumption of garlic in any form did not reduce blood cholesterol levels in patients with moderately high baseline cholesterol levels. With regard to this clinical trial, theheart.org reports: Despite decades of research suggesting that garlic can improve cholesterol profiles, a new NIH-funded trial found absolutely no effects of raw garlic or garlic supplements on LDL, HDL, or triglycerides... The findings underscore the hazards of meta-analyses made up of small, flawed studies and the value of rigorously studying popular herbal remedies.

WHAT A MESS!
Today, I couldn't believe what I did. i almost mess up our computer. The story started here, when I tried to print an article from the computer our printer did not work. I tried and tried again but still the same. Now I said to myself why not try to fix it maybe I can do it. So here I went and met a trouble in my computer. I did something wrong with the defaults of the printer. I changed the settings of it and because of the changes instead it will help it made it worst. So I stopped and waited for my hubby to do it. I was so glad that he was able to fix the printer. I was so worried that the printer will never work again no more. But thanks God my husband fixed it. That was my lesson that next time I will never change settings or change defaults of the printer to avoid complications. That was the result of being curious.

BREAKFAST
*Food is the best digested early in the day.
*Body needs energy for the entire day's work.
*Calories at breakfast are more apt to be "exercised off" during the day.
*Breakfast ideally should contain 1/3 to 1/2 of daily food requirement.
*Avoid constipation by eating whole grain cereal daily. Bran specially recommended.
*Try GRANOLA recipe:
Granola
1 large box quick oats (2 lbs. 10 oz.)

My wedding

How wonderful to have a man that is a gift from God. Is it not beautiful? I think so. I will be happy to share my love life to everybody. My love story starts this way, my sister who lives in Texas posted my name in the pen pal lists. We all know that once your name is posted in the pen pal lists, the men who are interested to make friends with you will pay first before they can view your personal information. But in my case was so different. My husband told me the reality how he found my name in the Internet. He said that while he was surfing in the different websites of Filipina singles, it happened that he saw my name with my email address. He was so interested to know my name victoriana Alferez. He wrote down my email address and started sending emails to me. But what was funny here, since I lived in a province where there were no computers available in our place at that time, my sister in Texas replied his message and she gave my cellphone number. My husband didn't know that my sister replied his message. He called me in my cellphone at 4 o'clock dawn time. He did not know what time was it in the Philippines. I answered his call early in the morning and I was so surprised! When I heard his voice, you couldn't believe it, I was in love with his voice. His voice was so sweet and gentle. That was our very first talk. We exchanged emails after we talked. I had to go to Iligan city that was two hours drive from home down there just to send emails to my sweetheart. He supported my Internets and transportation's expenses. That's fine with me. We built our relationship for almost two years before we agreed each other. He went to the Philippines last 2001 of April to meet me and my whole family. It was also the time where the foreigners were warned not to travel Philippines because it was not safe for them to travel plus the war in Iraq. But my beloved husband did not think about dangers in the Philippines; what was in his heart and mind was to meet me in person. Is he not sweet and brave? He was not scared. He stayed in Iligan City for three weeks. we had a very good time with each other. Before he left the Philippines, he gave me an engagement ring and I accepted it with a big smile and big heart. At that time, I felt very happy that finally I met my real man, a man that my heart was looking for. I had many boyfriends in the Philippines but my heart chose only one and that was my husband. It was unbelievable! He started working of my paper works for fiancee visa and finally I got out Philippines December 17,2003,afternoon and arrived Georgia early in the morning of December 17,2003. We got married January 24,2004. And now we lived happily and God gave us one cute and sweet little baby and we named him Luke Alferez League. Hope you enjoy reading my love story. Thank you and God bless us always!

The wonder of corn

Do you know that corn is good to your body? Yesterday, we went to our garden to harvest our sweet corns. They were already ready. We did not get a lot because the worms got them. But anyway, we harvested few. They were sweet corns. Maybe the worms love them because they were sweet. We were still thankful to God that we harvested some.
Can you imagine how Good and miraculous is God? If you plant one seed you will get a lot of grains from it. Wow! God is always there for us. He will feed and take care of us. What we need to do is just hard work. Thanks God for all your blessings.

My 4 year old son
I can not believe how much my boy have grown. As he gets older the more messier he is. Probably it's normal for boys. He is so energetic. Sometimes he likes to aggravate. Even though,he is hyper still he is my boy. My heart will never change. That is the amazing attitude of a mommy. I love my son. I can not exchange my son to anything of this world. He is my life and happiness. I thank God for giving me a very healthy and handsome boy. What I always pray to God is that he will give me patience, strenght and wisdom to up bring my child. I did the best I can to discipline him. I don't want my son will grow in this world as disrespectful child. I want him to be a good person and that is the only will that I can give to him.

Life is so wonderful
How happy I am to be in this world with my family and friends. We can not deny that sometimes life is so rough. Even though, we experienced hardships in life we are still strong to face them. I myself, face a lot of problems in life. I did not give up myself to difficulties instead I find ways and means how to solve them. Because if you will not do something to solve your problems, the worse they will be. It is better to embrace them than to run away from them. Always remember not forget to ask God's help because only God can help you and nobody else. Just trust Him.
